Saint Peter, also known as Cephas (meaning "rock" in Aramaic), was the first Apostle called by Christ and is recognized as the first Pope by the Catholic Church. A humble fisherman from Galilee, Peter’s bold faith and passionate love for Jesus led him to become the foundation of the early Church.
